Perry Childs is management consultant with over 29 years of experience in organisational change management within the FMCG drinks industry, supply chain, and other key sectors. He has proven experience in the design and delivery of complex change programmes both as an industry executive and an external advisor. His expertise covers supply chain management, manufacturing, product management, operational design and delivery, process improvement, strategic sourcing and strategic planning with a focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness programmes.
Perry has worked with a global service provider to diagnose service line profitability performance issues which lead to a major operating model redesign and change programme to help them leap frog their competitors. He has supported a major overhaul of the manufacturing process and systems for a major CPG. This achieved the strategic aim to reduce support costs by 30% (FY06) through strategic sourcing – 20% realised in first year. In addition, he led a major initiative to consolidate the Global supply manufacturing footprint across Europe and Americas post acquisitions of a number of premium brands
Working with the Global CIO for Guinness, Perry led a small organisational design team to create a single Global IS function for the merged Diageo business units. He led the change capability development for a major airline’s finance processes re-engineering programme in order to release £1bn back into the corporation. Perry is associate partner of Lansdowne in London. Before Lansdowne he was with A.T. Kearney and held executive positions at Diageo and PepsiCo. Perry is fluent in English. He holds a Master of Science (hons) in Electronics, Computer and Systems Engineering from Loughborough University.
